EXCERPT - PG

“If you’re in trouble, I know some people who can help.”

“I’m not in trouble. Really, I’m not. I mean who would want to kill me? I know bankers aren’t exactly popular—” she lets loose a shaky laugh “—but I’m harmless.”

Harmless? Not sure about that. Jess sends my heart racing, makes my skin clammy. She’s driving me insane. Harmless? No way.

“What do you want me to do?” I ask.

“Do?”

“Shall I stick around?”

“Oh. No, you don’t need to do that.”

“I don’t mind.”

“I’m fine. Seriously. Thank you for today. You must be tired and I bet your side hurts.”

It does, but I’m not going to admit to that. “It’s fine.”

“Look about that kiss....”

“That was my fault.”

“I kissed you.”

“You did.” I can’t resist letting my mouth curve upwards. She kissed me, but I don’t know if that’s a bad or a good thing. While my pride basks in it, the voice inside that keeps pulling at my gut wants to scream at her to run while she still can. I’m no good for her. “But I kissed you back,” I point out. “And I should not have been... er... touching you out there.”

She draws her bottom lip between her teeth. “It’s okay.”

Hell, how do those two tiny words send an arrow of need straight to my cock? It’s okay that I was kissing her? Or touching her up? It’s okay that I want her so badly I nearly bent her over my bike to fuck her?

Before I can dwell on it anymore and make an even bigger fool of myself, I get to my feet. “Will you let me stay?”

“I don’t think so. It’s too risky.”

A hard knot forms in my throat. I’m more dangerous to her than a crazed gunman it seems. She might be right. If—when—I find that money, her whole life is going to come crashing down.

“Don’t answer the door to anyone. Be careful. Call me if you need me. In fact, call me tomorrow.” She follows me to the door. “Please?” I add as uncertainty dashes across her face.

Jess opens the door and I step out. “I’ll call you,” she says when I turn to face her.

“Promise?”

She rolls her eyes and her mouth curves. “I promise.”

Those lush lips snare my attention and my own smile drops. My skin feels hot and itchy, my pulse urgent. This is insane. I rest an arm against the door frame, my feet still firmly planted on the other side of the threshold and bring my mouth slowly down on hers. She softens but doesn’t touch me. We’re divided by the invisible line between the corridor and her room. I can’t help thinking of it as symbolic. We’re divided by secrets and lies.

Not that any of that matters once our lips connect. I swear I’ve never wanted to kiss a woman somuch. Kisses are about the end game. But not with Jess. I want to drown in her kisses, to kiss her all day and see if I ever tire of them. I suspect it’s unlikely.

Happy young couple in love

Never had a reason to do either.

Until now.
I've resorted to stealing a man’s phone number and lying about having a boyfriend just to secure one more moment with this man. A man who has me so turned on that all rational thought and sense of morals is left behind without a second glance.
Why would I do these things?
Men are the predators, women are the prey.

Until now.
Gage Levi lives his life behind a lens, capturing beauty within vulnerability. He’s controlled, resistant, and willing to do anything to make his clients feel relaxed. How far would he be willing to go with a client to capture the moments of perfection he desperately craves?
He’s got one rule… don’t lie to him.
Something Worth Saving
It was one night, one fate and something tragic destroying something beautiful.
Heavy sheets of smoke curling and rolling together constricting my visions of this life I had.
You see that there?
That wrenching pain in your gut knowing not everything as it seems?
Look closer. That nervous energy you now have, stumbling over words you can’t say, a voice muffled under a mask, a moaning plea to be saved, slurred words on the tip of your tongue, there’s the something tragic.
When I have nothing left to give, nothing left to say, it’s him that brings me back to the moment, in the arms of my firefighter, the warmth of his heart and body, struggling to save his family.

Come Sundown
Erin Evans is the kind of girl no guy wants to be in a relationship with. She’s controlling and never backs down when she thinks she’s right.
Knowing this, and rightfully fearing her last few years in her twenties will be like the last five, she looks for some adventure.
That’s when her best friend convinces her to go on vacation with her to the Bahamas.
On the land of white sand, coconut rum, and a cloudless sky, what she never expects is to meet Tyler Weston, a local bar tender with a sweet tongue for the pretty girls. He’s tattooed, entertaining, and living the dream in paradise as he sets her drinks and world on fire.
As the moon lights the city, Erin unexpectedly becomes infatuated with Tyler and his bartending skills when he offers her a challenge to try his Black Magic drink.
With a mission to now try every drink on the menu, one night she can barely remember turns into two weeks of exciting possibilities she never saw coming.
Can Erin put aside her cynical side and let the dirty mouthed bartender show her what island life is really like?

I want to leave and never look back.
He doesn’t knock when he comes in, he never needs to. He knows, as well as I do, my door is always open, waiting.
I crave him. I do. He knows this, I think, I know, and I believe he craves me too. Why else would he come back?
It’s his determination and his will that gets me. That determination keeps me waiting for him in a dreary bay. I’ve always heard my friends say they wanted the rich guy to take them out of this small town that seems to hold us all captive.
Lincoln wasn’t that guy. At first look, he’s a fisherman, married to the sea and weighted by her waves.
Who is he to me?
He’s someone who gives just enough.
He shows me a different way of thinking. A way to give more than just enough.
A stay-at-home mom, Chelsea Landon spends her days drinking entirely too much caffeine, baking sugar-sweet treats she never eats, and jotting down notes for her novels. A dreamer at heart, she’s creating happily ever afters. She’s a lover, a writer, a dreamer, would rather type than speak, wants to remember everything, loves lots of ice in her drinks, and is slightly introverted.

Synopsis:

Love.
Betrayal.
Deception.
Attempted Murder.
Aurora Alexander is everything headlines are made of.

Newly divorced single mother Aurora Alexander is trying to move on with her life.
After a string of unsuccessful blind dates, she turns to internet dating.
Everyone does it, so it has to be safe. Right?

Wrong.

Prologue What makes a person tick? Is it the way they are raised? Perhaps it is a genetic predisposition. Our DNA coded from the moment of conception to write out the entire way our life will play out. Of course some things will be left to chance; fate better yet. But I can tell you from personal experience, some people are just born bad. I always did my best, despite having the genetic odds stacked against me. Saying I didn't win the parental lottery would have been one of the understatements of the century. Yet, I was always able to skate by in life. Trying not to become a statistic. Little did I know other people would take my choices away from me. I guess most of my problems started when I got married. I was such a naïve twenty year old. I thought the world was all sunshine and roses. He was my world, my reason for living. That was until he lost interest in me. A high risk pregnancy, bed rest, sex restrictions, and a colicky baby will kill intimacy for anyone. Breastfeeding isn't sexy. Neither are the stretch marks Liam left me with. I didn't care, and I still don't. But he did, and that is why I caught him in bed with my eighteen year old babysitter when my son was barely three. I know, my life is starting to sound like a soap opera. I wish these were the darkest days. Back then, I thought they were. I thought going through a divorce with a four year old son was the end of the world. Ha. I wish I would have known what my future would hold. What damage could be done at the hands of a stranger I thought I knew. Does anyone truly ever know another person? My answer to that question would be no. Even the most open and honest people have dark secrets. Shit they would never reveal to anyone. You know you have those type of secrets, we all do. Hell, I do. I typically would never tell anyone. Except since the world knows most of them now, it is my turn to tell my own story. The true story of Aurora Alexander. The real dangers of picking up strange men on the internet under the guise of dating, and new beginnings. It all began as a game. A way to spread my wings, and learn the dating game after being out of it for a decade. It ended in a violent attempt on my life. I am a fighter. I have lived to tell my story. No one can silence me. Not even him.

SYNOPSIS

Casey Daniels has a past forged in Hell. Despite the friends, the endless supply of women, and the muscle car he spent years restoring, it still eats away at him.

Grace Paterson is in Sydney as a temporary bassist for Jamieson, the band Casey handles security for. She’s also infuriating, off-limits, and completely irresistible.

A deal is struck, and despite their intense and powerful connection, both think it will be easy to walk away. But life can be more ruthless than either of them ever imagined. Not only does Grace have a secret she’s desperate to keep, Casey has questions from his past that he’s willing to do anything to get answers for.
It’s not until someone wants one of them dead that Casey realises his love for Grace is the one thing he could never walk away from.
In a story of revenge, betrayal, secrets, and love, Casey will need to reconcile his past with his present, before the future he never knew he wanted is snatched away.

                                  Review

If you’re looking for an action packed, steamy romance filled with the sexy as hell Aussie alphas then this book is it. This is Casey’s story, however you do get a glimpse of the other characters lives from the previous books….It’s deep, it’s emotional, it’s intense and it’s heartbreaking. It’s also incredibly beautiful and heartwarming. Casey and Grace are perfect for each although in the beginning you wouldn’t have thought so.

This book to me was simply awesome and I loved it!! I’ve been waiting for Casey’s story since he stole my heart in book #1 and it was more than worth the wait. Casey is sexy, overprotective, loves his friends, cocky, stubborn and is oh my god sexy… there is even a trip to the sex toy store, who doesn’t love a man it charge in the bedroom J

“I saw the love my best friend, Travis, had for his wife, Quinn. I watched how every touch between the two brought a light to their eyes. They put each other’s happiness before their own. They mattered to each other. I wanted that”

Grace is one of those head strong, gutsy girls and she doesn’t take crap from anyone (especially not Casey). She’s also hiding a huge secret that she’s desperate to keep because it will bring her entire world crashing down, taking everyone she knows with it.

“Screw you Casey,” I hissed as we stopped in front of the magnificent car that I wanted to kick with the heel of my shiny black boot. “Oh wait. That must be your problem, right? You’re all uptight because who wants to fuck a douchebag?”

Both Casey and Grace are independent, stubborn, passionate people with plenty of baggage but big hearts unfortunately both have so many obstacles to overcome before they can work things out with someone else, they just need a break , they both want a connection but are afraid to grasp it….. Will it work for them??!!?? Read the book!!

5 stars!!

EXCERPT

Cooper topped my wine glass again without missing a beat.
I glanced sideways. “Are you trying to get me drunk?”
He leaned in, whispering, “Yes. Is it working? You seem a bit edgy.”
That was because my body was craving sex. Lots of it. With Casey. A quick glance across the table found him watching our exchange intently.
Between the revolving front door of the duplex and his roommate, finding privacy was going to be more complex than long division. He would either have to climb a ladder to my window or sex was going to happen in the back of his car, and because he was yet to mention anything about the damaged backseat, that option was off the table. The man was either biding his time or he hadn’t seen it yet. Considering I was still alive, I was voting for the latter, but it was only a matter of time.
Focusing on my plate, I picked up a piece of chicken and peeled the skin away. “Can you pass me a napkin?” I asked Mac on my left and licked my finger.
My phone vibrated in the pocket of my dress as she handed it over. Pulling it out, I saw a text message from Casey. I glanced at him across the table but he appeared in deep conversation with Travis. Swiping a finger across the splintered screen, I read the message.
Do that again.
Do what again? Lick my finger? I put my phone down, and after a quick glance around the table, I slid my finger in my mouth, sucking gently before dragging it slowly from between my lips. Finished with the slightly erotic display, I glanced over at Casey. His eyes were locked on my mouth, dark with hunger. Wincing slightly, he reached down and with a quick, casual movement, adjusted himself in his pants.
I quickly tapped out a return message.
Do that again.
He did.
After reading my reply, he actually reached down, cupped the bulge in his pants and squeezed. My entire body clenched at the sight, forcing a light sweat to break out across my brow. I reached for the wine Cooper poured, feeling the urge to rub the ice-cold glass soothingly across my forehead.
After downing another half glass, I set it down and caught Casey intent on his phone, his fingers tapping away.
This was sexting? How did people survive it?
Mac was talking to me when my phone eventually alerted the incoming message. After taking a bite of chicken, I picked it up and promptly began choking.
If my cock looks half as good as your finger did the way it slid in and out of your mouth, then I want in.
Mac pounded me on the back with surprising force while I choked and wheezed. Jesus. The message basically said blow me now, yet he’d managed to word in such a way that I was ready to get on my knees right then and there. The man could charm the panties off a nun. I put my phone down to grab at the napkin Cooper waved in my face. Casey sat across from the table laughing at me while I dabbed at my watery eyes.
I narrowed my gaze on him with deliberate intent before I tapped out another message.
You said you were good with your tongue, Casey. Prove it.
Travis was talking to him when he opened the message. I watched his eyes flare wide before he typed out a quick reply and pocketed his phone.
Upstairs. You’ve got five minutes.

I should’ve known better than to issue a challenge to Casey of all people. He was the type of man you saw running towards danger while everyone else was running in the opposite direction.
I utilised a good three minutes eating another piece of chicken, finishing off my wine and getting caught in conversation with Cooper. I spent another minute wondering what the hell I’d gotten myself into. In the last minute left, I excused myself from the table and stood on unsteady legs. I glanced behind me as I walked inside. Casey was laughing at some comment Travis made that I didn’t quite catch. His eyes met mine for a split second as he said something in reply, and they were on fire. That was all it took to know I’d never wanted anything more in my life than I wanted him right now.
