Synopsis:

Lauren broke off an engagement with her old boyfriend because she caught him cheating on her. She's ready to move on and have some fun, but she's been too busy to meet anyone new.

Marcus has always been a player, unable to settle down with one girl. No one seems to meet his long list of requirements in a woman.

Marcus and Lauren have known each other for a few years, working for the same company but at different locations. They've always flirted some back and forth, but Lauren had been with Kyle. Now that she's single and they are in the same city for meeting, they spend a few passionate days together, both assuming this is just a fling.

They both eventual realize they want more than a fling, but can they make a long distance relationship work? And when Lauren's old boyfriend comes back to win her affection, can Marcus compete with their history?

 

Review:

Lauren and Marcus work together and have been interested in one another for a long time, although the timing was just never right.  Then things take an unexpected turn Lauren’s relationship just ended it because she caught her fiancé Kyle cheating and Marcus the self- proclaimed player was single.

A work meeting in her city gives them the prime opportunity to get to spend a few days together.
This book moves a little bit fast but is really a sweet sexy read that I enjoyed reading and I would love to read more about these two.

The book is well written and there are PLENTY of steamy sex scenes that will make you wish you had a man as bold as Marcus. I found it VERY easy to get wrapped up in their feelings for one another!!
I am really looking forward to seeing how their story plays out!

I really enjoyed this book as much as I did the First one. Leo and Briggs were as Awesome as they were in the First book.I love, love Char Janelle's very out spoken best friend. Janelle was really torn between these Two guys they both had so much to offer if I were in her shoes I am not sure who I would have chosen (okay maybe Leo he was the hopeless Romantic in this story) lol  I loved how the Author let the both guys have their own time to speak up in this book so we would know what they were thinking. I have to say though my favorite character was Leo Clings Mimi I love a funny outspoken granny!! Oh and at the end Janelle chooses.........Yeah right like I am going to tell you that!! Read both books you will love them!!!

Review:

Jaded had some really amazing fun characters and a great plot! This Book isn’t the average rock star book as the main character is a female and yes she is a ROCK STAR!!

Scarlett was the main character she really is down to earth and wants to finish up her senior year and graduate like ANY other teenager. Scarlett was extremely determined to do what she wanted instead of being told what to do all the time by her parents and her record company! I fell in love with her humorous attitude and sarcasm!

 Stephan began as a friend and soon became Scarlett’s love interest, he was funny and smart witted and I can honestly see why she fell so hard. I loved that he fell in love with Scarlett and not rock star!

This book has all the elements of a successful love story with lots of unexpected twists and turns, there was also some heartache I whole heartedly fell in love with this book and the characters!

Review:

I loved this book as much as I loved Jaded……..Faded picks up exactly one week after Jaded ends, and Jaded ended with a little bit of drama so Faded picks it right up where it leaves off. This book shares some more secrets and definitely has plenty of drama, remember when I said Scarlett was determined to do what she wanted and not what everyone else wanted well in some ways
that works out for her and well in others……not so much. Scarlett and Stephen grow even closer in this book and honestly they have a bet going that I really just wish they would both get over, but I won’t spoil that for you! I think that these books are definitely a MUST read I honestly cannot wait until the third book in this trilogy comes out!

Review:

Distractions is an edgy love story full of suspense. Usually when I thought I had the story figured out…BAM! There is absolutely no way I could have predicted what was going to happen with this read. Distractions kept attention, and there was so much in the storyline that was only partially told and god knows I wanted to know it all. I literally didn’t want to miss a thing!!!

Violet has led a very colorful life that has left her jaded. Will she ever be able to get past her trust issues? Shepard is her younger violin playing next door neighbor, he's always there for her. Connor is Violet's past, but will he stay that way?? You will definitely want to get to know Shepard and Connor ;-)

If you are looking for a book that offers so much more than a romance, Distractions by J.L. Brooks is it! This nail-biting, edgy, and absolutely sexy read will have your mind racing. Distractions will grab your attention and hold it until the bitter end.
