~Stripped Blog Tour Stop

SYNOPSIS:

So how did I get myself into this situation, you ask? Simple: desperation. When you're faced with being homeless and hungry or taking off your clothes for money, the choice is easier than you'd imagine. That doesn't make it easy, though. Oh no. I hate it, in fact. There's nothing I'd like more than to quit and never go into another bar again, never hear the techno beat pulsing in my ears again, never feel the lecherous gazes of horny men again.

Then, one day, I meet a man. He's in my club, front and center. He watches me do my routine, and his gaze is full of hunger. Not the kind of desire I'm used to though. It's something different. Something hotter, deeper, and more possessive. I know who he is; of course I do. Everyone knows who Dawson Kellor is. He's People Magazine's Sexiest Man alive. He's the hottest actor in Hollywood. He's the man hand-picked for the role of Rhett Butler in the long-awaited remake of Gone With the Wind.

He's the kind of man who can have any woman in the entire world with a mere crook of his finger. So what's he doing looking at me like he has to have me? And how do I resist him when he looks at me with those intoxicating, changeable, quicksilver eyes?

I'm a virgin, and he's an American icon of male sexuality. I'm a stripper, and he's a man used to getting anything and everything he wants. And he wants me. I know I should say no, I know he's the worst kind of player…but what my mind knows, my body and my heart may not.

And then things get complicated.

REVIEW:

Where to start………………….. All I can say is WOW, Jasinda Wilder always writes books that captivate my attention but Stripped was different……It didn’t just capture my attention, it captured my heart and so much more!!!!

Grey the daughter of a Baptist minister with a very small mind and a lot of limits for his daughter. Unfortunately for them both Grey had bigger plans, which she set in motion after the tragic death of the one person in her life that actually supported her.

Gray makes the choice to leave her hometown in Georgia to pursue a college degree in film in LA. Knowing that her father does not support her decision and that going home is not an option for her she does what she has to do to make it work……. And so it begins, she searches for a job, unfortunately she has no work experience and is unable to find anything, and then she sees it, the help wanted sign at the Exotic Nights Club. Grey makes the decision to make her way into the club, she is a dancer after all even, and even if this is what she has to do, no matter how horrifying it is, this is what she will do to get her degree.

Dawson Kellor is getting a second chance at his acting career, after some bad press. Dawson is trying to clean up his act but unfortunately Hollywood still portrays him as a bad boy player. He has just cast to play Rhett Butler in a remake of Gone With The Wind. To celebrate he and some of the cast members decide to go out and party and that’s when he spots her……. All that he can think is that this girl is beautiful, but that she is full  sadness. She breathtaking when she dances, and yet she is so different from the other girls and he can tell she doesn't belong there.

Grey immediately knows who Dawson is, and yet she can’t understand why he keeps looking at her like he. She is used to having clients looking at her like she is a piece of meat but his look is different………… It makes her dislike her job even more! She absolutely never lets customers touch her but……. he does and……she lets him. What’s worse is she likes his touch and this terribly confuses her. According to those beliefs she is running from having a man touch her is a sin but, why does he feel so right?

After he walks out grey assumes she will never see him again, but chance has the two of them in the same room sooner than she expected. Grey runs, and when she does…. he follows. Dawson sees something in Grey that he wants, needs, and craves. He soon realizes that her innocence is real, and, that her beauty inside and out is real. She really is unlike anyone he has ever come across and refuses let her go.

Both people in this relationship have their own set of insecurities that they each need to deal with before they can actually be happy together. Unfortunately for Dawson, Grey’s first response is to run home after they decide to make their relationship official. Will he chase her, will she return to him, will they find their happily ever after……..Guess you’ll have to read this book!!
