Review:

Hailey Bloom is an actress/ singer/songwriter who is going through a through a huge transition in her life …..she decides she wants to be normal and  to give up the fame to go to college, deciding that she no longer cares what anyone else thinks. She is super tired of everyone else telling her what to do and feels like she has yet to find herself…………….. and so the story begins.

Hailey has seemed to find the perfect place to find herself, most everyone gives her the space she needs that is until her first college party where she meets Caleb Fox. Caleb is an attractive guy who is  genuinely nice to her….. He also makes Hailey crazy.

For these two it was not love-at-first-sight, but lust at first sight. Hailey quickly decides that she does not need ANY distractions while trying to get her education…… However fate has a different idea in mind. Hailey meets a new friend Daphne……… who just so happens to be Caleb's younger sister which makes it hard for her to avoid him since he is the overbearing, overprotective big brother. Eventually Hailey decided that Caleb worth trying to love, but she is scared that her own baggage will make him hate her. Hailey needs to trust in him and in herself to be strong enough to work through it.

This story was a love story, form the beginning, I had hoped that they would end up together and that Hailey would find peace, I think without a doubt she has found it with Caleb, I can’t wait to see what the future holds for them in the next book!

 


Excerpt:

Instead Caleb steps closer to me, finally removing that distance between us. He braces his hands on either side of my head, his shirt dangling near my left shoulder. “You always want my t-shirts.”

“Yup.” I still have his shirt from that day. And I’m not ashamed to admit that I haven’t washed it. There’s still a faint trace of Caleb’s cologne on the cotton, and I like wrapping myself in him. “But I paid you for that first shirt. Remember?”

“You don’t have any blackberries this time.”

I tap my finger to my mouth. “If only I had something you did want.”

“If only . . .” Caleb can’t stop looking at my lips, his eyes kissing me. “I guess you could pay me with a kiss.”

“A kiss for a t-shirt?” I scoff, even as excitement shoots through me like a live wire that hits water. Sparks of lust explode in my body, little fireworks that shoot through the night. “That seems pretty high to me. I think I should get something more for a kiss.”

His head dips lower, his mouth a whisper away from mine. “Like what?”

“You.”

“You already have me.”
